Mum praises simple food bag clip for curing ‘unbearable’ migraine in 20 minutes

A mum revealed she cured her migraine in just 20 minutes by using a plastic food bag clip.

Elizabeth Hayes, from Indiana, US, had been suffering from the head-pounding migraine for 12 hours and claimed the pain had even become unbearable.

But posting on Facebook , the American revealed how she finally tackled the pain by using an item found in most kitchens.

She wrote: “This clip saved my life tonight. I had a migraine start almost twelve hours ago and about an hour ago it was at an unbearable limit.

“I had exhausted all of my drugs and tricks I usually use to ease my migraines to no avail.”

An acupressure-based cure called Aculief involves using a plastic clip to pinch the nerves between the thumb and forefinger.

Elizabeth continued: “I glanced at the counter and saw this chip clip and decided it would do about the same thing.

“Within one minute I had some relief and within twenty my pain was reduced by half!”

She went on to order the real thing from Amazon, adding: “Just wanted to share this with everyone, as I know many of you suffer from migraines also.”

According to the NHS , the main symptom of a migraine is usually an intense headache on one side of the head.

The pain is usually a moderate or severe throbbing sensation that gets worse when you move which tends to prevent you carrying out normal activities.

Additional symptoms include feeling or being sick, increased sensitivity to light and sound.

It is advised to see a GP if you have frequent or severe migraine symptoms that cannot be managed with painkillers.
