Another day, another payload of new palettes to get pumped about. Starting today, Smashbox is launching seven new Cover Shot Eye Palettes that are inspired by trends spotted at Smashbox shoots. Each of the seven Cover Shot palettes is loosely based on a theme — metallics, minimalist shades, holographic pastels, rose gold, punky purples, glitter, and even millennial pink.
You might recognize the face of the Cover Shot launch: Jasmine Sanders — aka Golden Barbie, an influencer with over 3 million Instagram followers — rocking some seriously bold looks from each of the palettes.

First up, there's the Major Metals palette, packed with coppers, bronzes and royal maroon shades in a “creamy powder formula” to score that molten finish. For a totally opposite look, there’s the Minimalist palette. As the name suggests, it’s filled with neutrals in blendable matte and shimmer finishes. The Prism palette is a holographic lover’s dream: the pastel-based palette has two duo-chrome shade transformers that you can wear alone or blended for a more high-octane holographic look.

Petal Metal, a cousin to Smashbox’s rose gold Petal Metal highlighters, is filled with rose gold metallics. For moodier eye looks, there’s Punked, a smoky, velvety palette filled with nudes, mauves, and purples. Next up, there’s the Bold Glitter palette, which is sold exclusively at Sephora. Again, the name gives it away — sparkles on sparkles, which can be worn solo or as a transformer for matte shades. And finally, there’s the Pinks + Palms palette — a millennial dream. Sold exclusively online, the final Cover Shot palette was inspired by L.A. sunsets, according to the brand. Translation: gold and pink shimmers with an accent of mint shadow for a totally Instagrammable contrast.
The new pocket-sized mini palettes are super compact, making them great for travel. Each of the seven curated Cover Shot Eye Palettes has six distinct shades and two double-sided base shades — some of which can even double as highlighters.
