As coronavirus continues to spread, with 373 cases in the UK, it is important to know the signs to look out for.
The symptoms of the COVID-19 disease start showing five days after being infected, according to new research.
The study, published in the journal Annals of Internal Medicine, analysed 50 provinces, regions and countries outside Wuhan, China.
The US team found out that if you don’t get symptoms by day 12, you are unlikely to develop any.
However, someone can still be infectious carriers and make others sick.
This is why researchers are advising those who could be infectious to self-isolate for 14 days.

Does hand sanitiser kill coronavirus? Dr Hilary Jones issues warning about gel
The three symptoms to watch out for are a cough, a high temperature and shortness of breath, according to the NHS .
Coronavirus infects the lungs, and symptoms may start with a fever followed by a dry cough, which can lead to breathing problems.
If you do display the symptoms it doesn’t necessarily mean you have COVID-19.
That is because these symptoms are similar to other illnesses, such as cold and flu.
Most people who get sick with the respiratory virus will recover.
Those with mild symptoms may recover in a few days, but for those who develop pneumonia it can take weeks or months.
The mortality rate appears to be low, between 1-2%.
