Actress Natalie Desselle Reid has died at age 53. She died of colon cancer after being diagnosed earlier in 2020, a family member told TMZ. Natalie was in hospice care this last week and passed away surrounded by family.
The news of Natalie’s death came in an official statement, shared on Natalie’s Instagram account: “It is with extremely heavy hearts that we share the loss of our beautiful Natalie this morning from colon cancer. She was a bright light in this world. A queen. An extraordinary mother and wife.”
Colorectal cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in men and in women in the U.S., according to the American Cancer Society. Symptoms may include a change in bowel habits, such as diarrhea, constipation, or narrowing of the stool, for more than a few days as well as blood in the stool or abdominal pain.
