Whether you’re an A-list celeb or just a regular Jane, it seems that we all have to be on high alert for unsolicited commentary about our bodies at any given point in time.
That’s why Anne Hathaway is getting ahead of the haters in her latest Instagram post, by preempting body shaming comments about her recent weight gain.
The actor shared a video of herself working out with a little explainer for anyone feeling the need to weigh in on her figure.
“I am gaining weight for a movie role and it is going well,” she wrote in the caption. “To all the people who are going to fat shame me in the upcoming months, it’s not me, it’s you. Peace xx.”
“PS: I wanted to set this to Queen’s ‘Fat Bottomed Girls’ but copyright said. Continued peace xx,” she added.
There’s no word yet on what movie she’s training for, but the 35-year-old is clearly slaying it in this clip.
It’s not the first time the award winning actor has dealt with trolls, Anne recently shared another Instagram post recounting her experience with “nipplegate” during her appearance at the Oscars in 2013.
“I had to change my dress last minute and so it looked like my nipples were hard, I had full blown laryngitis and had to sing, and a bunch of corny haters were getting lots of attention from the media for being haters but you know what? It was still the best.”
Hear hear, Hathaway.
