Quick Slimming can be harmful
Professor Stephen Powis, medical Director of the National Health Services (NHS), is not in favour of diet plans, the particular promise quick results.
Current fads such as diet pills, appetite suppressants or so-called Teatox-diets can damage health even in the long term, warns the expert.
Such Crash diets can cause side effects such as diarrhea or heart disorders and in addition, the effect of hormonal methods of contraception such as the pill affect.
Powis feared, therefore, more harm than good for people who want to lose weight with diet products fast.
Crash diets do not work long-term
To have “new year’s resolutions to lose after Christmas a few excess pounds, can be a good idea. It is, however, much easier to keep the weight off, if this step is implemented,“ said Powis, in a communication to the NHS.
“The Chance that diet pills or Detox teas successfully, is low,” explains the physician.
In order to lead a healthier life style, be it therefore makes more sense to make long-term plans, the different areas of life include.
