Halle Berry: Oscar winner, keto goddess, and…boxing champ?
It’s no secret that Halle Berry is ridiculously fit (just take a look at her Instagram posts, if you don’t believe us), and now she’s sharing the workout that keeps her looking fierce AF at 52: boxing.
“Boxing is still considered one of the best full-body workouts,” Halle wrote, next to photos of herself and her trainer Peter Lee Thomas boxing like champs. “You’ll sculpt every muscle and burn major calories and fat. It dramatically decreases stress levels, develops hand-eye coordination, and builds confidence and discipline. But most importantly…you’ll never stop learning”
It’s #FitnessFriday and Boxing is name of the game this week!! #Boxing is still considered one of the best full body workouts. You’ll sculpt every muscle and burn major calories and fat. It dramatically decreases stress levels, develops hand-eye coordination and builds confidence and discipline. But most importantly…you’ll never stop learning. I’ve been boxing for the past 10 years and regularly for the past 3 and I love that I always learn a new way to challenge myself and work new muscles. I challenge you to pick up some boxing gloves and get at it…I promise you’ll have fun, get your heart rate up and sculpt your body at the same time!! Feel free to share your boxing photos with me at #PHITBoxing ?❤️#Fitness #Wellness #WorkOut

Halle says she’s been boxing on some level for the past 10 years, and has been doing it “regularly” for the past three. “I love that I always learn a new way to challenge myself and work new muscles,” she says. “I challenge you to pick up some boxing gloves and get at it…I promise you’ll have fun, get your heart rate up, and sculpt your body at the same time!!”
She’s right: Boxing is a pretty amazing workout. “Because boxing moves target every single body part, there isn’t a muscle untouched, so it’s the only thing you need to do to get in shape,” Erika Hammond, founding trainer at Rumble Boxing in NYC previously told WomensHealthMag.com. (If you’re not sure where to start, this workout will burn 400 calories in just 30 minutes. For real.)
Boxing isn’t Halle’s only fitness trick, though. In early August, she shared a photo of herself doing a perfect handstand with her legs spread into a V in the middle of a freaking room.
It’s #FitnessFriday and today we talk about the importance of trying something new. Many of us get stuck in our fitness routines and do the same circuits over and over each week. We do the same exercises for legs, the same for upper body, the same for abs and so on and then we wonder why we don’t see any real change in our body. Well, here is the answer. You have to shock your system and offer your body new exercises that it can respond to. Recently, I started doing #handstands with #donkeykicks and I noticed my upper body got stronger and more defined. So today in my stories, fitness icon @peterleethomas will show you 3 easy ways of doing old exercises to shock your body and get faster results. The #planche works shoulders, the #atomicclimber works lower abs and the #pistolsquat works the legs. I guarantee you you will see a change! I also shared two of my favorite lunch meals to have on the go. As always enjoy! ❤️??#FitnessFridayHB #Week30

Then, just last week, she shared a photo of herself and Peter doing side planks with their legs held high for an extra oomph.
It’s #FitnessFriday again and this week’s #PHITtalks is all about the fitness of the mind as well as the body! Peter and I are answering your questions from last week on #yoga, #meditation and #mindfulness. Go to my stories and IGTV later today to see if your question got answered! Remember, we will do our best to answer as many as we can. Enjoy!!??❤️
