Despite recent shake-ups, the It Cosmetics team arrived to the DreamBall in high spirits on Wednesday night.
The company's founders, Jamie Kern Lima and Paulo Lima; new global brand president Patrick Kullenberg; It Cosmetics' team; and Carol Hamilton, L'Oréal's group president in charge of acquisitions (who helped the company secure the It deal in 2016 for $1.2 billion) spent quality time taking group photos on the pink carpet and donating significantly to Look Good Feel Better.
Lima even danced to Beyoncé on stage with the evening's host, Heather Thomson, the founder of Yummie shapewear and former personality on "The Real Housewives of New York."
"Guys, I've never done that before," Lima quipped, when she took the podium. "I've always believed in life that you are what you give, and what you give is always what you get — why am I out of breath — the thing is this is a very big night, because at the very beginning of It Cosmetics, literally the very beginning, even in the early years when we were running the company out of our living room before my husband and cofounder and love of my life Paulo, he's here tonight, before Paulo and I could even afford to pay ourselves, we donated to Look Good Feel Better."
Wednesday evening's program also honored Lauren Brindley, group vice president and general merchandise manager for beauty and personal care at Walgreens; Alvaro Alonso, general manager North America for Beiersdorf NA; and Amy Robach, ABC News and "Good Morning America" correspondent.
Efforts from the evening are expected to raise about $1.3 million for Look Good, Feel Better, which helps women going through cancer treatment learn how to use skin care, makeup, wigs and turbans to feel more like themselves.
