Hot Topic Just Launched a "Mean Girls" Eye Shadow Palette to Celebrate October 3

If there was ever a day to channel your inner Plastics, aka the popular clique from Mean Girls, it's October 3. You may already be wearing pink (it is Wednesday, after all), but is your eye shadow fetch enough? Thanks to a new palette from Hot Topic, you can change that.

While you may associate Hot Topic more with black lipstick and wallet chains than pink tracksuits, Hot Topic has recently been quietly banking on everyone's love of nostalgic pop culture. Earlier this year, the retailer launched a Nickelodeon-themed eye shadow palette complete with Reptar, Tommy Pickles, and Ren & Stimpy imagery. Now, the brand is back at it with "Fetch," a 12-shade eye shadow palette with a combo of matte and shimmer shades. Naturally, the packaging is hot pink and sparkly.

The shades themselves are named after iconic lines from the 2004 classic, including, "I'm a cool mom" (shimmer pink, duh), "Get in loser" (neutral peach), "The limit does not exist" (shimmer black), "What day is it?" (a crisp white), and more. Wear each shade separately or blend to match your mood — whether you feel like a Plastic, a JV jock, or a sexually active band geek, there's a shade combo for you. Plus, there's an incognito Damian Leigh in the palette's mirror waiting to tell you, "You're like, really pretty." What more could you want?

If dressing up in a pink velour tracksuit and wearing Regina George-approved eye makeup isn't enough for you this October 3, might we also suggest celebrating with The Burn Cookbook: An Unofficial Unauthorized Cookbook for Mean Girls Fans, a new movie-inspired cookbook from Jonathan Bennett (aka Aaron Samuels). Feel free to hunker down in front of Netflix with a cup of You Go, Glenn (Hot) Cocoa in one hand and an eye shadow brush in the other.
