A study with Dove press, the effectiveness of tea tree oil to help combat hair loss was investigated.
The study noted: “In this study, we prepared an anti-infective agent of tea tree oil and investigated the stability and physicochemical properties for its therapeutic efficacy in the treatment of alopecia.”
The study concluded that using tea tree oil improved stability, safety and efficacy in the treatment of alopecia compared with other products.
Tea tree oil can also help with other hair ailments including dandruff. A shampoo containing tea tree oil can provide both antifungal and antibacterial benefits.
