Beth Chapman, wife of Duane “Dog” Chapman and bail bondswoman on the reality show Dog the Bounty Hunter, is reportedly in a medically-induced coma, and her husband is currently asking fans for prayers.

Hawaii News Now reported Saturday that Beth, 51, was admitted to the ICU at the Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, where the couple lives. News that Beth was in the medically-induced coma came per a statement from her family, in which Duane said he and his family “humbly ask everyone to please pray for Beth.” Duane also took to Facebook and Twitter to share the news with fans.

Please say your prayers for Beth right now thank you love you

Beth was diagnosed with Stage 2 throat cancer in September 2017. Two months later, she announced the cancer was removed on an A&E special Dog & Beth: Fight of Their Lives. But, the cancer returned last year, and Beth has been hospitalized multiple times due to complications, and even went through emergency surgery in November 2018, per Hawaii News Now.

Beth is one of approximately 12,000 people diagnosed with throat cancer, or laryngeal cancer, each year. It generally begins in the voice box or lower portion of the throat according to the American Cancer Society.

Earlier this month, Beth posted a photo to Instagram giving fans an update on her ongoing fight with cancer. In the photo, she is sitting behind a desk with her blonde hair done in voluminous waves and a determined grin across her face. Her caption read: “Get up dress up show up! #cancerwillnotbeatme”

Beth also tagged her new show, Dog’s Most Wanted, which is coming soon to WGN America. In previews for the show, there are scenes with Beth in the hospital and while her husband continues to chase down fugitives.

“Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman here,” he says in the teaser. “My wife, the love of my life, is fighting for her life. Instead of being at home helping her, I’m out here looking for you. I’m warning you in advance. May God have mercy on you when I get you, because I won’t.”

Our thoughts are with Duane, Beth, and their family right now.
