Britney Spears Just Shared A Workout Video From Her Mental Health Treatment Facility

  • On Wednesday, Britney Spears posted a new Instagram video showing her lifting weights and doing crunches as stress relief.
  • The 37-year-old singer checked herself into a facility earlier this month for a little “me time.”
  • In January, Britney announced she was going on an indefinite work hiatus to take care of her sick father, Jamie Spears.

It’s been a tough month for Britney Spears.

On April 3, People reported that the singer had checked herself into a facility for “all-encompassing wellness treatment,” following months of caring for her ailing father, Jamie, who had ruptured his colon. “Britney just needed to focus on herself,” a source told the magazine.

And it looks like she’s doing just that—evidenced by a new workout vid the 37-year-old posted to Instagram on Wednesday. Clad in a bright yellow sports bra and black leggings, she can be seen in what looks like a home gym doing arm raises, side bends, and crunches—with a dance break in between.

“Who knew stress would be a great 5 pound weight loss,” she wrote in the caption. Her boyfriend, Sam Asghari, who Britney was just spotted with on Easter, commented: “That’s my girllllllll 💪❤️.”

It makes total since that Brit would want to hit the gym: Exercise can be a great stress-buster, lowering blood pressure, improving sleep, and boosting energey, according to the American Heart Association.

Britney has also been finding comfort in friends and family—and even a little pampering. In addition to spending Easter with her boyfriend, Britney was also spotted leaving treatment on April 11 for a root and extension touch-up according to E!.

The “…Baby One More Time” singer announced back in January that she would be going on an indefinite hiatus from work in order to take care of her father, who sources say is now doing “okay” health-wise.

“The recovery is slow, but he is getting better,” a family insider told People. “Everyone has been worried sick. His condition seemed so frail, but Jamie is strong.”

Hopefully a little gym time is helping Britney realize her strength too.
