Ashley Graham Claps Back At Body-Shaming Trolls In The Best Way Possible

Plus-sized model Ashley Graham wants to make one thing clear: she has no time for body-shamers.

On Sunday, the 29-year-old took to Instagram to share her workout routine with her 5.3million followers. But after trolls flooded her account with negative comments like, “still fat tho,” she shut down the haters once and for all.

Gettin that ? right with @christine_grubbs?? #sundaymorning #curvyfit

“Every time after I post a workout video I get comments like, ‘You’ll never be skinny, so stop trying,’ ‘Don’t workout too hard, you’ll get skinny,’ ‘Why would you want to lose what made you famous?’” she hit back in a second post.

“Just for the record, I workout to: stay healthy, feel good, get rid of jet lag, clear my head, show big girls we can move like the rest of ‘em, stay flexible and strong, have more energy.”

“I don’t workout to lose weight or my curves, because I love the skin I’m in,” she concluded.

As the self-proclaimed “leader for the body positive movement,” Ashley was the first size 14 model ever to be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine. But despite being frequently judged for her voluptuous figure, she consistently rises above the criticism to challenge traditional beauty standards.

“Someone once told me my thighs were ‘cellulite city.’ But I now realise these thighs tell a story of victory and courage,” she captioned a previous snap.

“I will not let others dictate what they think my body should look like for their own comfort, and neither should you. #beautybeyondsize.”

Preach.
